the country has been unlocking its potential,
人們迎來了更好的生活
as the people have been embracing a better life.

But what I really want to know is:
中國在過去短短幾十年里取得如此大的成就 秘密是什么
How has China managed to achieve such huge economic success in just a few short decades?
我想中國成功的秘密
Well I think the secret to China’s success ?
就藏在那些定義了兩會的熱點話題和熱詞里
lies in the hot topics and buzzwords that have defined the “Two Sessions” over the years.
那么這么多年所有兩會熱詞里 最熱的是哪個呢
But what is the hottest Two Sessions topics of all time?
1978年 時代周刊的年度風(fēng)云人物選擇了鄧小平
In 1978, Time Magazine selected Deng Xiaoping as their Person of the Year.
那一年在他的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)下?
Under his leadership that year
中國開啟了全國范圍的改革開放
China embarked on a nationwide policy of economic reform and opening-up.

In recent years, the hot topics of discussion have changed
“中國夢” “一帶一路”
“Chinese Dream”“the Belt and Road Initiative”
“精準(zhǔn)扶貧” “反腐”和“供給側(cè)改革”
“Targeted poverty-alleviation ”、 “Anti-corruption” and “Supply-side reform”.
這些熱詞都表明中國
These words reflect China’s determination
繼續(xù)深化改革的決心和目標(biāo)。
to deepen its?reforms and furthr?open-up.
那么 兩會最熱的詞到底是哪個
But perhaps the hottest buzz word of the Two Sessions
那是習(xí)近平在他的書《習(xí)近平談治國理政》里最頻繁用到的一個詞
is the one used frequently by President Xi Jinping in his book The Governance of China
其實也一直就在這個國家的名字和兩會的名字里
It’s also in the full name of the country and in the Two Sessions.
就是“人民”
And that word is people.
中國夢
The Chinese dream
歸根到底
after all,
是人民的夢
is the dream of the people.
必須緊緊依靠人民來實現(xiàn)
We must realize it by closely depending on the people.
必須不斷
We must incessantly
為人民造福
Bring benefits to the people.
中國人正在追尋著自己的夢
And the Chinese people are now chasing their dreams.
希望生活在更繁榮的國家
Of living in a country
一個處處清廉清潔的大地
Without corruption and pollution
一個有公平機(jī)會的社會
Of living in a society with equal opportunity.
正是夢想開啟了他們偉大的潛力
And it is only by realizing these dreams that ever greater potential can be unlocked.
那么今年兩會的熱詞是什么呢
So what will the hot topics be at this year’s Two Sessions?
